I look at you and see all the ways a soul can bruise, and I wish I could sink my hands into your flesh and light lanterns along your spine so you know that there’s nothing but light when I see you.

Remember who you wanted to be.
Everyone has a 2am and a 2pm personality. I’m more interested in the monster you become at 2am rather than the human being you pretend to be at 2pm.
The Greatest #4: Fall/Winter 2013-14
Duco Ferwerda by Paolo Zerbini
I will be wild. I will be brutal. I will encircle you and conquer you. I will be more powerful than your boats and your swords and your blood lust. I will be inevitable.

Scare the world: Be exactly who you say you are and tell the truth.
We spend time talking for what it feels like months. Our stories are sixty days old, our words even older than ourselves, we could kill a little kid with boredom every time we mention Imperialism or the three waves of Feminism, or why Hitler, for some reason, never revealed he was in love. Maybe he ended up feeling more or hating less. Maybe not. I have no idea, I say. But you keep telling me to think about it even if I’m just washing the dishes, biting my shirt, murdering an entire ant colony, kissing you. Have you ever thought about how many people are sleeping next to the ones that they love? If they’re thinking about waking them up just to see sky? If they’re only thinking about paying the bills, or what’s for breakfast the next day or nothing at all? Open them, you say, whispering, waking me. I will tell everyone about you. And still keep you. And always, I will. And always, I will.
Favourite work of the week, amazing food photography with a space narrative twist!
